LIFE COACHING

A collaborative effort to set you on the path to attaining your personal and professional goals.

  • Time Management- Learned skills include prioritizing time vs. task, identifying the role of procrastination, and learning to respect time limits even when fears of imperfection or mistakes arise around the task. Clear steps for healthy functioning are taught and practiced until you feel confident in your ability to work in a timely manner regardless of level of emotional distress. Skills are then practiced in real-life settings.
  • Communication Skills Building- Intervention will focus on the difference between intended messages communicated and received message communicated, and ways to bring those into alignment through a number of different strategies. Non-verbal communication will also be a focus.
  • Managing Stress- Stress is not simply caused by the events in our lives, but the way we think about them. Cognitive therapy techniques will be utilized to identify distortions in your way of thinking, that can be challenged to experience a calmer demeanor.
  • Personal and Professional Goal Setting- Setting reasonable and achievable goals is an important key to experiencing a sense of success in life- whether it is your personal or professional life that is your focus. Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about our ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of this future into reality. Goal setting is used by top-level athletes, successful business-people and achievers in all fields. Setting goals gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation.
  • Goal Attainment- Setting goals, and creating a structured process toward achieving them is an important element toward enhanced mental health, and improved quality of life. Unfortunately, so many people who are successful at this process end their effort here, thereby eliminating the intended end result of reaching, acknowledging, and celebrating their success. For many people, it is a natural tendency to focus on things that have a negative impact on our lives, but to allow the positives to float by with little recognition. To promote optimism, and motivation for future goal setting and achieving, it is critical to focus on successes from the past.
  • Wellness Coaching for Lasting Lifestyle Change- For most of us, life is busy. Time passes, without much opportunity to reflect upon and evaluate our level of satisfaction or to identify areas for improvement. In spite of our best efforts, taking the time to reflect often requires the positive connection between oneself and a Wellness Coach. This relationship can empower you to recognize and draw on your own abilities and resources to make lasting changes for better health, and a more fulfilling life.
